Glendale Water & Power has launched a rebate program for residential customers who buy a used electric vehicle. The standard rebate is $1,500, and income-qualified customers in the Glendale Care Program can get $2,500. The money comes from California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard, which funds clean transportation projects. Customers may also stack the rebate with the state's MyFirstEV incentive if they meet both programs' eligibility rules. The utility says the goal is to lower the upfront cost of used EVs, support clean transportation, and cut greenhouse gas emissions. Rebates are available until the funding runs out. Anyone in Glendale can check GlendaleCA.gov/ElectricVehicles for details on eligibility and how to apply.
