Gilead Dynamics is partnering with ATS Industrial Automation to commercialize the Carbon Black Extractor (CBX). This mobile system uses pyrolysis and microwave technology to convert waste tire shreds into recycled carbon black, oil, and syngas. The collaboration focuses on moving the CBX from a prototype to an industrial scale. The system is designed for mobility, fitting on two standard flatbed trailers, and aims for a carbon black purity level of 93 percent, making it a viable alternative to virgin materials.
