Ghaziabad is implementing its first bio-CNG plant at the Dundahera sewage treatment facility. The project, a partnership with VA Tech WABAG Limited, aims to capture methane and hydrogen sulphide to produce 1,700 kg of gas daily. This waste-to-energy initiative will provide fuel for approximately 3,000 households and 350 vehicles, reducing local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the treatment process.
