The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has partnered with the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) to scale the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition project. The initiative focuses on reducing building emissions across India, specifically in Kerala, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Key progress includes a registry of over 1,600 buildings and the assessment of 302 structures using the Building Emission Assessment Tool. The project is now identifying 60 buildings for targeted cooling retrofits to improve energy efficiency and lower carbon output.
