The Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) project is scaling up its efforts in India to reduce building emissions. By partnering with the India Smart Grid Forum, the initiative aims to increase the adoption of energy efficient infrastructure and cooling retrofits across Kerala, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. To date, the project has developed a registry of over 1,600 buildings and trained 2,400 professionals in low carbon construction and energy auditing. The program focuses on implementing technical tools and institutional planning to meet direct emissions reduction targets by 2028.
