Gevo shares rose about 5% after the company sold and delivered 10,000 carbon dioxide removal credits through ClimeFi to a corporate buyer. The credits were generated at Gevo's North Dakota facility, and the company says the transaction supports its goal of reaching more than $30 million in annual revenue from its carbon business using existing operations. Gevo stock was at $1.37 after the move, up 5% from the previous close but down more than 33% since the start of the year. The company is still working to finance its sustainable aviation fuel project after withdrawing a DOE loan guarantee application. Investors should note the carbon credit sale is small and does not change Gevo's overall financial picture by itself.
