Gevo Signs Three-Year Carbon Removal Credit Deal With CEEZER for North Dakota BECCS Supply
carbonherald.comGevo has signed its first multi-year carbon removal credit supply agreement with CEEZER. The three-year deal covers a five-figure volume of tons through 2029, with CEEZER managing procurement for an unnamed Fortune 500 enterprise software company. The credits come from Gevo's North Dakota ethanol plant, where CO2 from fermentation is captured and stored in geological formations more than a mile underground. Gevo says the contract supports its goal of building a carbon business that generates more than $30 million in annual revenue. The company describes the North Dakota facility as one of the first commercial-scale U.S. BECCS projects delivering verified removal credits to the voluntary carbon market. The deal also signals that corporate buyers are moving from one-off purchases toward longer-term supply arrangements for durable carbon removal.
