Gevo signs three-year carbon removal credit deal with CEEZER for North Dakota CCS project
streetinsider.comGevo has signed a three-year carbon dioxide removal credit agreement with CEEZER, the carbon management platform. The deal covers a five-figure volume of tons through 2029, bought on behalf of an unnamed Fortune 500 enterprise software company. The credits come from Gevo's North Dakota project, where biogenic CO2 from ethanol production is captured and injected more than a mile underground. Gevo says the storage permanence exceeds 1,000 years and the site needs no pipeline infrastructure. This adds to Gevo's existing CDR sales, which include Nasdaq and Whirlpool as direct buyers, with Amgen and PayPal listed on its registry through intermediaries. The company has said it is targeting more than $30 million in annual revenue from its carbon business. For context on the wider market, CDR.fyi data cited in the release shows only about 3% of roughly 50 million contracted tons have been delivered so far.
