Gevo is scaling its carbon credit business alongside growth in low-carbon fuels like sustainable aviation fuel and renewable natural gas. The company has entered compliance carbon markets under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations and is selling verified carbon removal credits from its BECCS project in North Dakota. Sales of carbon removal credits in the first half of 2026 already exceeded all of 2025, with clients including Nasdaq, Delta Air Lines, and Bank of Montreal. Management expects 2026 adjusted EBITDA to more than double prior estimates, driven by carbon credit revenue, increased production, and new tax credits. Gevo also launched a direct online platform for buyers to purchase its Puro.earth certified carbon removal credits. The company aims to generate over $30 million in carbon-related revenue as demand for durable removals grows.
