Gevo and CEEZER Sign Multi-Year Carbon Removal Credit Deal for North Dakota BECCS Project
manilatimes.netGevo has signed a three-year agreement with CEEZER to sell carbon dioxide removal credits from its North Dakota ethanol and carbon capture project. The deal covers a five-figure volume of tons through 2029 and marks Gevo's first multi-year CDR supply contract. The buyer is a Fortune 500 enterprise software company, with CEEZER managing procurement. Gevo says the project stores fermentation CO2 more than a mile underground, with permanence exceeding 1,000 years and no pipeline needed. Gevo expects the agreement to support a carbon business generating more than $30 million in annual revenue from existing operations. The deal also reflects a shift from one-off credit purchases to multi-year offtakes. CDR.fyi data cited in the release notes that only about 3% of roughly 50 million contracted tons have been delivered, placing operating suppliers like Gevo in a small group. Gevo lists Nasdaq and Whirlpool as customers, with Amgen and PayPal on its registry through intermediaries.
