GeoRedox and Canada Nickel have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a stimulated geologic hydrogen well at the Crawford Nickel Project in Timmins, Ontario. The project aims to produce zero-carbon hydrogen through chemical reactions in ultramafic rock formations, potentially providing a clean energy source for a regional industrial cluster. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to decarbonize critical mineral production. By integrating geologic hydrogen and carbon sequestration, the partnership seeks to lower the carbon footprint of nickel, cobalt, and iron production in Northeast Ontario.
