GE Vernova released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting 26 GW of new power generation capacity brought online last year. The company says this capacity has a carbon intensity 31% below the global grid average. 47% of new capacity went to developing economies. Scope 1 and 2 operational emissions are down 64% since 2019. The report also details progress on small modular reactors in Canada, direct air capture in New York, and the Teesside carbon capture project in the UK. GE Vernova is supplying the full power island for that gas plant, which aims to be the world's first with integrated carbon capture and storage. The company frames electrification itself as a core sustainability strategy.
