GCL SI is introducing the EcoPower Mate, a mobile photovoltaic and storage system designed for off-grid industrial use. The solution targets remote operations like mining and oil extraction, aiming to replace expensive and high-emission diesel generators with deployable solar arrays. The system comes in three configurations, including rail-mounted and wheel-mounted models, to suit different terrains and installation speeds. GCL SI claims the technology can reduce the levelized cost of energy from roughly 0.30 dollars per kWh to around 0.11 dollars per kWh while cutting installation costs by half.
