The Galway International Arts Festival has completed its first detailed greenhouse gas emissions study to identify carbon hotspots across its operations. Using ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol standards, the festival is establishing a baseline to track progress toward its reduction targets through 2026. As part of the Pacesetters research programme, the festival is also integrating climate tech to analyze visitor movement and emissions. These efforts include a push for ISO 20121 accreditation for sustainable event management and a focus on circular economy practices in venue construction.
