Global leaders gathered in Paris on 25 June 2026 for a high-level ATACH meeting hosted by the French G7 Presidency and WHO. The meeting focused on integrating health into climate policy, including Nationally Determined Contributions and National Adaptation Plans. A record 41 C heatwave in Paris underscored the urgency. Ministers from over 100 countries discussed financing, supply chain decarbonization, and the One Health approach to embed health considerations into climate governance. The ATACH alliance aims to translate climate and health commitments into concrete national actions. Participants highlighted the need for low-carbon, climate-resilient health systems and stronger multilateral cooperation. The meeting also covered progress on the ATACH Operational Strategy, which will open for member comment before publication in August 2026.
