VIVESCIA, Roquette, and Siplec E.Leclerc have formed a three year partnership to build France's first fully integrated low-carbon ethanol supply chain. The deal covers regenerative wheat farming, low-emission ethanol production at Roquette's Beinheim plant using biomass and geothermal energy, and distribution through 734 E.Leclerc fuel stations. The goal is to cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 100% compared to conventional fossil fuels. The supply chain is certified under the 2BSvs sustainability standard recognized by the European Commission. VIVESCIA's TRANSITIONS program has already paid over 7.2 million euros to farmers for adopting regenerative practices over five to seven year cycles. The ethanol will be blended into SP95-E5, SP95-E10, and E85 gasoline grades. The partnership runs for three years and aims to strengthen France's domestic biofuel industry while reducing reliance on imported energy.
