A free shop where people can take donated items without paying has opened at Tŷ Pawb in Wrexham city centre. The Community Sharing Shop will run until Christmas Eve, and accepts clean, safe items in very good or excellent condition. Organisers say the existing Caia Park shop has saved more than 30,000 items from waste over the past 10 months. The new city centre location is funded through Wrexham Council's Low Carbon Community Fund. It is run by a collaboration of local groups including Give and Take, Repair Café Wrecsam, and Incredible Edible Wrecsam. The shop is open Mondays and Fridays from noon to 2pm, and Saturdays from noon to 4pm, with extra hours possible if more volunteers come forward.
