Shanghai Metals Market has started work on its 2027 Low-Carbon Cast Aluminum Alloy Enterprise Distribution Map, with Foshan Xinshenghao Aluminum as a supporting partner. The map is meant to show where China's low-carbon cast aluminum producers are located, what they make, and how much capacity they have. Foshan Xinshenghao, a Guangdong-based trader and recycler of aluminum scrap, ingots, and billets, is one of the companies involved. Recycled aluminum matters for decarbonization because remelting scrap avoids most of the energy and emissions tied to primary aluminum smelting. The project's value will depend on whether SMM uses consistent low-carbon criteria and actual capacity data, rather than self-reported labels. For buyers looking for lower-emission aluminum supply, a verified map could make procurement easier.
