Formula One reported a 35% reduction in its carbon footprint in 2025 compared to a 2018 baseline, according to its annual review. The sport cut emissions by 12% from 2024 alone, with travel emissions down 27% since 2018. Teams are investing in sustainable aviation fuel and shifting broadcast freight from air to ground transport to meet a net-zero target by 2030. Nearly 80,000 tonnes of CO2 have been removed from operations since 2018. Formula One plans to remove over 50% of broadcast and freight from air transport by 2030. The sport runs 22 Grands Prix this year and is working on calendar rationalization and alternative energy solutions to further reduce emissions from team travel and logistics.
