Predictiv AI has launched Flockentis, an AI-powered fleet planning engine from its Shift Technologies subsidiary. A proof of concept is running with a commercial fleet operator in the UK. The tool evaluates more than ten factors per job, including operating cost, distance, driver hours, regulatory constraints, and estimated emissions. Planners can generate three alternative plans that prioritize cost, service performance, or lower environmental impact, with each plan showing proposed assignments, schedules, projected revenue, and estimated carbon impact. The UK pilot is configured for local requirements like postcode tariff zones, pounds sterling, miles, and ADR dangerous-goods rules. The company says the system can flag jobs that cannot be completed within available resources or constraints before dispatch. No emissions reduction figures or fuel savings have been published yet, so the practical carbon benefit will depend on how much weight operators give to the environmental impact plan during the trial.
