First Gen Corp is constructing a 1.84 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic system for NKC Manufacturing Philippines Corp in the Mactan Economic Zone. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of the Japanese manufacturer's operations in Cebu. The facility is expected to be fully integrated into the plant's electrical system by the end of 2026. This move helps the company mitigate rising energy costs and inflation while transitioning to renewable energy for its industrial components production.
