Ferrari Hypersail: A Solar Powered Carbon Fiber Ocean Racing Yacht
hiconsumption.comFerrari has unveiled the Hypersail, a 100-foot carbon fiber monohull designed for open ocean endurance racing. The vessel uses advanced foiling technology to lift the hull out of the water, reducing drag and increasing speed during long distance voyages. Breaking from traditional designs, the Hypersail contains no combustion engines. It relies on 100 square meters of integrated solar panels producing 20 kW, supplemented by wind and kinetic energy recovery to power all onboard systems and hydraulics.
