Far Eastern New Century is using TITAS 2026 to show how it plans to make polyester textiles easier to recycle. The company is pushing mono-material design, meaning shoes, synthetic leather, seam tape, buttons, and elastic components made entirely from polyester so they can be processed together at end of life. FENC also highlighted AirTek, a polyurethane made with captured CO2 instead of the usual isocyanate process, which won Germany's Best CO2 Utilisation 2025 award. The company says these materials keep mechanical strength and durability while cutting carbon footprint, but the announcement does not include specific emissions or recycled content numbers. FENC's work with TTRI and footwear partners also won a 2026 R&D 100 Award for turning textile waste into polyester elastomers and recycling whole shoes. For anyone tracking textile circularity, this is a useful look at how large polyester producers are trying to close the loop.
