FedEx Adds Workhorse W56 Electric Vans to Fleet for 2040 Carbon-Neutral Goal
worktruckonline.comFedEx has ordered 15 Workhorse W56 electric step vans as part of its broader strategy to achieve carbon-neutral global operations by 2040. The vehicles are designed for last-mile delivery and recently completed testing that met the company's operational duty cycle requirements. During real-world testing, the W56 achieved 31 MPGe, a significant improvement over the 7 MPG average for standard delivery trucks. This transition to zero-tailpipe-emission vehicles is expected to reduce annual emissions by approximately 607 metric tons based on average yearly mileage per vehicle.
