FAW Trucks presented five vehicles and nine powertrain systems at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover. The display covered low-carbon and zero-carbon categories, with production models running diesel, natural gas, hybrid, battery-electric, and hydrogen. The company also gave its TL.X concept truck a global premiere and introduced the CORTRON CS to the European market, including a battery-electric tractor model. Most attention will likely go to the electric and hydrogen lineup, since that is where European truck regulations are headed. The press release does not include range, charging, or fuel cell specs, so the real test is whether these models can compete on total cost of ownership and service support. FAW says it wants to build an open commercial vehicle ecosystem with global partners. For fleet operators, the practical question is parts availability and uptime, not just the number of powertrains on display.
