Farizon cuts carbon emissions by 35,000 tonnes in 2025 with 132 sustainability projects

Farizon, the commercial vehicle arm of Geely Holding Group, reduced carbon emissions by 35,000 tonnes during 2025 after rolling out 132 carbon reduction projects across its manufacturing and R&D operations. The company cut per-vehicle manufacturing emissions by 52.7% since 2021 and achieved a 12.6% reduction in carbon footprint per vehicle last year alone. More than 97% of scrap materials are now reused in its factories, and it targets 100% green power across all manufacturing sites by 2030, with full lifecycle carbon neutrality by 2045. The company's Xiangtan facility in China plans to run entirely on renewable energy, with on-site solar and wind providing over 40% of power. Other measures include closed-loop water recycling cutting freshwater use by 75%, AI-optimized logistics reducing associated emissions by 30%, and water-based paints with near-zero VOC emissions. Farizon is also investing in methanol-electric propulsion for marine vessels and expanding its UK van lineup with the V7E medium-sized electric van aimed at urban logistics.
