Fabrix appointed for low-carbon Pudding Mill Lane development at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
geomechanics.ioFabrix and Cushman & Wakefield have been appointed by the London Legacy Development Corporation and Vistry joint venture to deliver two commercial plots at Pudding Mill Lane in Stratford. The scheme covers about 280,000 sq ft of commercial space, part of a wider development with more than 1,000 homes and around 330,000 sq ft of non-residential floorspace. It sits within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park's planned innovation district, next to UCL East and other East Bank institutions. The development is designed to be fossil fuel free, using on-site air source heat pumps for space heating and hot water. Surface water will be managed with sustainable drainage systems, green infrastructure, and climate-resilient planting. Construction will be phased through to 2033 under existing outline consent, with detailed approval already in place for phase one, allowing utilities and infrastructure to be rolled out in stages.
