Formula 1 announced a 35% reduction in its carbon footprint compared to 2018 levels, keeping the sport on track for its 2030 net zero goal. Total emissions fell 12% from 2024, with nearly 80,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent removed since the program began. The biggest gains came from changes to freight and logistics, investment in sustainable aviation fuel, and renewable energy projects. Factory and facility emissions dropped 64% versus 2018. Travel emissions fell 27% and logistics emissions dropped 29%. For the first time, lower-carbon solutions are used across all three major freight methods: land, air, and sea. The sport doubled its investment in sustainable aviation fuel compared to 2024, cutting related air charter emissions by around 40%.
