The sport's annual review shows a 12% year-on-year reduction since 2024. Key drivers include shifting from air to sea freight, investment in sustainable aviation fuel, and calendar restructuring to group races geographically. Factory and facility emissions dropped 64% from 2018, while logistics emissions fell 29% over the same period. F1 also mandated advanced sustainable fuels for racing in 2026, which cut greenhouse gas emissions by 80% versus fossil fuels. The sport aims for net-zero by 2030 with a minimum 50% absolute emissions reduction target and offsets for the remainder.
