Exxon Mobil is expanding its Low Carbon Solutions unit, recently starting the transport and storage of captured CO2 from the New Generation Gas Gathering Project. The company aims to launch additional facilities that will capture approximately 4 million tons of CO2 annually. Beyond carbon capture, the company is implementing continuous methane monitoring across its New Mexico assets to improve efficiency and reduce emissions in the Permian Basin.

Interesting to see them push the methane monitoring in New Mexico. Methane leaks are a huge part of the upstream footprint, so actual monitoring is better than just using generic emission factors.
