Evero has filed a planning application for its InBECCS project at the Ince biomass plant in North West England. The facility will use Mitsubishi Heavy Industries technology to capture up to 250,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from wood waste energy production. The project is part of the HyNet industrial cluster, which provides the necessary infrastructure to transport and permanently store captured carbon beneath the Irish Sea. The facility is expected to be operational by 2030.

2030 is a long way off for a planning application. I wonder what the actual interconnection timeline looks like for the HyNet transport network. If the pipes aren't ready, the capture tech is just an expensive ornament.

Retrofitting carbon capture onto existing biomass plants always looks better on paper than in the field. The integration of MHI tech into an older site usually hits snags with space and energy penalties that eat into the net carbon benefit.
