Everllence has won its first commercial order for PARSYN synthesis gas compressors, supplying AM Green's green ammonia project in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The electric motor driven compressor train will support a production unit of 1,500 tonnes per day, about 525,000 tonnes a year. AM Green is converting an existing gas based ammonia and urea complex, with Phase 1 targeting 1 million tonnes per year. The order matters because green ammonia plants generate less process steam than conventional units, so the compressor uses an electric motor instead of a steam turbine. Everllence will deliver two barrel compressors, gearbox, dry gas seals, coolers, controls and related equipment. Delivery is set for late 2027, commissioning in 2028. Commercial outlets are already taking shape. AM Green has a long term agreement with Uniper for up to 500,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia per year, and it won the Asian lot in the H2Global auction for RFNBO compliant ammonia supplies to Germany starting in 2029. The project is expected to avoid around 1 million tonnes of CO2 annually versus conventional ammonia production.
