The European Commission is developing a 30 billion euro Investment Booster package to accelerate the transition of energy-intensive industries. The initiative aims to support the production of carbon-free materials, such as green aluminum and low-carbon cement, to increase EU competitiveness. Slovakia is positioning itself to secure a significant share of these funds by highlighting its existing low-carbon energy mix. The proposed regulations also focus on streamlining permitting processes for renewables and battery systems to attract foreign investment and reduce reliance on imports.
