Farmers in Ireland are warning that the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is driving up the cost of fertilizers. While the European Commission has introduced a Fertiliser Action Plan to provide short term emergency support, agricultural groups are calling for a full exemption for fertilizers from CBAM to prevent further economic instability in the farming sector.
