ESG Roundup: Carbon Credit Merger, Emissions Disclosure Alliance, and ReNew's $100M India Clean Energy Deal
impakter.comCarbon credit and clean energy watchers will find more substance in this ESG roundup than the Character.AI lead suggests. TROOPS, a Nasdaq-listed fintech group, agreed to merge with EFFORCE to explore digital platforms for carbon credits and green certificates. No products, licenses, or launch dates have been named, so the deal is still at the intent stage. Separately, EY US and Watershed formed an alliance to help companies measure and disclose Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, from data collection to product carbon footprints. On the project finance side, ReNew secured a $100 million ten-year rupee facility from Dutch development bank FMO for renewable projects still under construction. FMO called it its largest single investment in India's energy sector.
