Equitable Earth has added Bolivia, Nigeria, Peru, and Tanzania to its jurisdictional REDD+ risk mapping framework. This expansion brings their total coverage to 16 jurisdictions, using the M002 methodology to identify areas at the highest risk of deforestation and degradation. By shifting from isolated project-level views to a broader regional scale, the framework aims to better manage leakage and land-use dynamics. This approach helps direct climate finance toward regions where forest protection provides the most significant impact on emissions reduction.
