The EPA is expected to repeal federal carbon emissions standards for coal- and gas-fired power plants as soon as Monday, according to Bloomberg, Reuters and The New York Times. The move would remove Biden-era requirements that certain existing coal plants and new gas plants cut greenhouse gas emissions, including through carbon capture and storage. The EPA is also reportedly set to propose dropping its finding that power plant greenhouse gas emissions meaningfully contribute to dangerous air pollution.
