Pembina and Clean Prosperity are right to call this out. Saying a pipeline is conditional on CCS without a firm commitment to actually build it is just political cover. The Pathways project has been talked about for years with no final investment decision.

Exactly. The Carney-Smith deal last year made CCS a condition but here we are a year later and still no binding timeline. Environmental groups are right to want more than vague promises before approving new fossil fuel infrastructure.
