Envana acquires Cleartrace to tie emissions data, clean energy tracking, and AI guidance for industrial buyers
azcentral.comEnvana, an industrial AI company focused on carbon-aware operations, has acquired Cleartrace Technologies. The deal combines Envana's emissions quantification tools with Cleartrace's meter-to-certificate tracking for renewable energy attributes. That gives large energy buyers, data center operators, oil and gas producers, and utilities a single data trail from physical asset to regulatory claim. The timing lines up with new compliance pressure. EU operators will need site-level methane measurement from February 2027, and the GHG Protocol's Scope 2 update pushes corporate buyers toward hourly matching of renewable energy use. Envana says its Catalyst, Cleartrace, and Cencia products are meant to turn that governed data into faster decisions on abatement, capital allocation, and compliance. The press release is short on customer names and quantified results, so treat the operational claims as directional for now.
