Envana, an industrial AI company focused on carbon management, has acquired Cleartrace Technologies to link emissions measurement with clean energy traceability. The combined platform is aimed at oil and gas, utilities, data centers, and other hard-to-abate sectors. It brings together three products: Catalyst for audit-grade emissions evidence, Cleartrace for meter-to-certificate tracking of renewable energy attributes, and Cencia for AI-assisted carbon and energy decisions. The deal lands as regulation tightens. From February 2027, EU operators must measure methane at site level and reconcile it with reported inventories. The GHG Protocol Scope 2 revision is pushing corporate buyers toward hourly matching. Envana says the combined offering helps companies turn governed carbon and energy data into decisions while keeping the traceability needed for compliance.
