The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) held a three-day Energy Manager Training in Jakarta from June 9 to 11, 2026, targeting professionals from high-energy-consuming commercial buildings such as hospitals, hotels, apartments, and offices. The training aimed to strengthen technical capacity for implementing energy management practices and supporting Indonesia's transition toward low-carbon and zero energy buildings. The sessions covered low-carbon building fundamentals, energy efficiency applications, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks under Indonesia's PP No. 33/2023 and MEMR Regulation No. 8/2025. Participants learned about the POME digital reporting system for energy conservation monitoring and were offered technical assistance for developing bankable energy efficiency projects. The initiative supports the ASEAN target of 40% energy intensity reduction by 2030 under the APAEC 2026-2030 plan. Indonesia has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 31.89% through national efforts and 43.20% with international support by 2030.
