The 2026 Eisteddfod yr Urdd on Ynys Môn has reduced its carbon footprint by replacing traditional diesel generators with a mix of grid power, solar energy, and green hydrogen units. This shift is expected to cut emissions by 40,000 kg CO2e compared to the previous year. Hydrogen power units provided by GeoPura now supply 30% of the event's power. This deployment demonstrates a practical path for decarbonizing large scale outdoor festivals and temporary installations where grid access is limited.
