Egypt and Norway Partner on Green Hydrogen and Carbon Capture

Egypt and Norway are strengthening their energy partnership to accelerate the transition to low carbon power. The collaboration focuses on expanding green hydrogen and green ammonia projects, specifically highlighting the work of Scatec and Yara International in Damietta. Beyond renewables, the two nations are exploring carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) to reduce industrial emissions. This strategic move aims to make Egyptian exports more competitive in European markets as carbon regulations tighten.
