EGCO Buys 49% Stake in US Wind and Solar Portfolio, Adding 339 MW of Operating Renewables
kaohooninternational.comThai power producer EGCO Group has completed its purchase of a 49% stake in the Pinnacle IV Portfolio, a 339 MW group of operating renewable projects in the United States. The portfolio includes the 189 MW Timbermill Wind facility in North Carolina and the 150 MW Coldwater Solar facility in Michigan. Because both plants are already in commercial operation, EGCO starts recognizing revenue and profit from the closing date of 25 September 2026. The projects sell power and renewable energy certificates under long-term contracts with investment-grade offtakers in the PJM and MISO markets. Apex Clean Energy remains the majority owner with a 51% stake. The deal lifts EGCO's total renewable capacity to 1,785 MW, about 26% of its overall equity capacity, and supports its strategy of expanding in the US while preparing for new renewable tenders in Thailand.
