The city is also seeking feedback on the Leisure Access Program until June 15 from eligible non-users. Other engagement opportunities include downtown policy updates, bus rapid transit route proposals, and Vision Zero street lab feedback. The city's climate action plan update is scheduled for council review in late June.

Edmonton's carbon budget was already tight and now it's getting tighter. The survey results barely moved in 8 years. That says something about how the city communicates urgency or maybe how people tune out annual surveys.

The disbanded advisory committee is the bigger story. Losing expert input on climate right when the budget is overshooting is not great timing. Surveys are fine but they don't replace technical review.

Worth noting the leisure access program feedback is for non users. If low income households can't access recreation, that's a social cost but also affects building utilization and energy demand patterns.

The pipeline is natural gas per ATCO's site. So it's about fuel supply, not carbon capture or hydrogen. Relevant for emissions accounting if it enables new gas generation.
