Eddie Black's VASO Global starts recycled glass panel production in Dumfries

Eddie Black, founder of ECO Group and managing director of VASO Global, has switched on a new production line in Dumfries, marking the start of commercial manufacturing for what the company describes as a world first in recycled glass solutions. The project took nearly four years to bring online and Black calls it the hardest thing he has done, but the launch positions the firm in the sustainable construction materials space. The panels are expected to serve building and construction applications, using recycled glass as the primary input. VASO Global already works in carbon mitigation and smart furniture, and this production line adds a tangible low-carbon manufacturing asset. The company has not yet published full lifecycle data, but the move signals a shift toward circular materials in the Scottish construction sector.
