EcoCeres extends SAF supply deal with British Airways through 2030, cutting 198,000 tonnes of CO2

Hong Kong based EcoCeres has extended its sustainable aviation fuel supply agreement with British Airways until the end of 2030. The deal is expected to help British Airways avoid roughly 198,000 tonnes of lifecycle carbon emissions, equivalent to offsetting the carbon footprint of around 341,000 round trip economy seats on London to New York flights. EcoCeres produces SAF from 100% waste feedstocks like used cooking oil, achieving lifecycle emissions reductions of up to 94.4% compared to fossil jet fuel. SAF is a drop in fuel that works with existing aircraft and airport infrastructure, making it one of the more practical near term options for cutting aviation emissions. The extended agreement signals growing demand for SAF and the need for long term contracts to support production scale up. EcoCeres continues to expand its production capacity, including its first SAF plant in Malaysia, as airlines push toward net zero targets.
