ECO Expo Asia 2026 runs from 26 to 29 October at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, with over 340 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions. The show adds a first-time ASEAN Pavilion with 13 green technology companies and a debut Qinghai Pavilion, alongside returning groups from Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, and the US state of Illinois. Four themes anchor the event: green energy in motion, frontier green tech, building for a greener city, and waste to worth.

Trade shows like this are a decent signal for where green investment is heading. 340 exhibitors and a first time ASEAN pavilion is more concrete than most policy announcements. Curious if any of the SAF or waste to energy deals actually get signed during the event.
The modular hydropower from building water tanks is the kind of small scale stuff that rarely gets attention. Works in malls and schools already, so it is not a concept. Would like to know the payback period and typical capacity before getting excited.
The ESG index jump from 64.2 to 67.3 is fine, but the more telling number is sourcing or selling ESG products going from 29% to 46%. That is actual market movement, not just attitude. The Belt and Road green conference might matter more than the exhibits.
A plastering and paint spraying robot that cuts material use in half and runs five times faster is interesting for construction emissions. But labor costs and maintenance will decide if sites actually adopt it. Exhibit demos always look good.
Waste to worth is the theme with the most direct carbon impact. Chongqing Sanfeng and Dynagreen are established players, so this is not just startup hype. The unmanned recycling station launch is worth watching for how AI holds up in real collection conditions.
