ECO Expo Asia 2026: Hong Kong expo highlights green energy, SAF, and ASEAN pavilions in late October
manilatimes.netECO Expo Asia 2026 runs from October 26 to 29 at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo, with more than 340 exhibitors from 16 countries. The event focuses on four themes: green energy, frontier green tech, greener buildings, and waste management. New this year are an ASEAN Pavilion and a first-time pavilion from China's Qinghai Province, alongside returning delegations from Illinois, Canada, Italy, and the Netherlands. Hong Kong's HKTDC also released its 2026 ESG Index, which rose to 67.3 from 64.2 a year earlier. The survey found 46% of businesses now source or sell ESG-related products and services, up from 29% in 2025. On the technology side, exhibitors will show sustainable aviation fuel made from waste, a satellite-based greenhouse gas observatory, and building systems like a modular hydropower unit that captures wasted hydraulic energy. More than 30 forums and seminars will run alongside the expo, including the Belt and Road Green Innovation Conference. For buyers and project developers, the event is a chance to compare low-carbon technologies and meet suppliers across the region, though concrete deals and procurement details will likely come after the show.
