The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has introduced a new risk-sharing facility in Romania using InvestEU funds. This initiative aims to mobilize private investment for green energy projects by reducing the financial risks for lenders and developers. The facility focuses on expanding Romania's renewable energy capacity and improving energy efficiency. By providing a financial safety net, the EBRD intends to accelerate the deployment of low-carbon infrastructure and help the region meet its climate targets.
